天地不仁, 以万物为刍狗;圣人不仁,以百姓为刍狗。
天地之间,其犹橐龠乎?虚而不屈,动而愈出。
多言数穷,不如守中。
Heaven and earth have no particular affection. They look at all beings like straw dogs. A wise soul has no particular affection; he looks at people as straw dogs.
The space between heaven and earth acts as a bellows which is empty inside but does not run out, when it moves (cyclically) and it gives more and more (of wind).
The one who talks a lot wears out quickly. It is better to stay quiet.
