Everyone knows how to appreciate beauty means that ugliness exists everywhere. Everyone knows how to appreciate goodness means that evil exists everywhere.
This is why abundance and deficiency are born from each other; Hard and easy are completed each other; long and short are measured against each other; high and low are positioned against each other; note and voice match into harmony; anteriority and posteriority follow each other.
This is how a wise soul manages his activities with method "Wuwei" (non constrain)*. He delivers his instructions without speaking; he lets beings evolve naturally and does not disturb them; he gives birth to them and does not own them; he helps them grow but expects nothing in return; when the successes are achieved, he does not claim the credit.
He does not take credit for himself, therefore merits do not leave him.

* Wuwei (无为) should be understood as "go without constraint", not as "without doing " or "no action".
