Chapter

73

Whoever puts his courage to dare, finds death. Whoever puts his courage not to dare, finds life. Of these two things, one is a winner, the other is a loser. When heaven hates one of the two, who knows its motives? Even a wise soul has a hard time deciding.
This is the way of heaven:
He does not compete, and he knows how to achieve victory. He does not speak, and know how to lead people. He doesn't call them, and they come running up of their own accord.
He is calm and skillful at formulating strategies. The net of heaven is very vast and wide-meshed and yet nothing can escape.
