Chapter
48
为学日益,为道日损。损之又损,以至于无为。
无为而无不为矣。取天下常以无事,及其有事,不足以取天下。
The one who devotes himself to study increases his knowledge every day. The one who indulges in the Tao decreases his pride every day. He decreases it and decreases it ceaselessly until he arrives to master "Wuwei" (non constrain). Whenever one practices "Wuwei", there is nothing that is impossible for him.
It is always through "Wushi" (non-interference) that one becomes the master of the empire. Whoever loves interference is unable to become the master of the empire.
